Bubba Wallace posts ridiculous proposal to Domino’s

And it kinda worked!

“Maybe this will get their attention,” Bubba Wallace posted the pizza caddy video to twitter last week.

In the video, Bubba Wallace play’s a round of golf with a Domino’s labeled golf ball. At the same time, he had a man in a pizza outfit following him around the course, with a box of domino’s. As Bubba drove the golf cart. The pizza caddy ran along side the cart, handing him pizza slices.

“We see you, Bubba! DM us and let’s talk!,” Domino’s responded via twitter.

Have you locked in that big sponsor for 2018 yet?

“Well, you know what. Not yet,” Bubba Wallace replies in the video.

“But, I feel like we’re really close. So close, that I can actually taste it,” Bubba Wallace walks over to his pizza caddy to grab a piece of Domino’s pizza.

Domino’s Poem Tweet

Domino’s sent out a tweet on September 28:

“Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
If you eat pineapple on pizza,
We won’t judge you.”

To which, Bubba responded:

“Roses are red, violets are blue
Sponsor me
And my fans will buy pizza from you.”

Domino’s NASCAR Graphic Render

Neither of those were the first time that Bubba has reached out to Domino’s. In mid-September, Richard Petty Motorsports tweeted them a graphic rendering by Checker MC Designs of a Domino’s racecar.

It might not be a success just yet. But at the very least, the unique Domino’s pizza sponsorship proposal created a conversation between Bubba Wallace and Domino’s.

Wallace was primed to drive for Richard Petty Motorsports in 2018. However, as Smithfield left the team. That stalled out talks between Bubba and the team.
