Chub Frank and Boom Briggs will both run Chub Frank throwback paint schemes in the 2017 DTWC at Portsmouth next weekend
Throwback cars are starting to be revealed. Next weekend, the throwback weekend comes to dirt track racing.
The Dirt Track World Championship will host the event at Portsmouth Raceway Park. Based in West Portsmouth, Ohio, the track is a 3/8 mile high banked dirt oval.
All 12 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series regulars are scheduled to appear in throwback liveries. Here’s a look at two wraps released by Slavic, the creator of both wraps.
Chub Frank
The Chubzilla returns!
Chub Frank piloted the green 1 star car to the win in the Dirt Track World Championship at Portsmouth Raceway Park in 2007.
He will run it again next weekend.
Boom Briggs
The blue 1 star car above will be driven by Boom Briggs.
Chub Frank drove this car in 2004. He claimed the 2004 World 100 victory with it. Helping him to the win was Boom Briggs.
Before taking on the national dirt late model tour as a driver, Briggs was the crew chief for Chub Frank.
DTWC
The LOLMDS show will run on October 20th-21st, 2017. The winner of the event will take home a $100,000 check.
