The new team is based in Shreveport, Louisiana. Xtreme Graphics by J-Rod are the team behind the new design.

“The 2018 season will mark our fifth year of building Black Diamond Race Cars, and along the way we’ve had some amazing support from racers on both the national and regional level. However, we know that to take our technology to the next level that we need more research and development,” Ronnie Stuckey said back in the November press release.

“I’ve always thought a lot of Earl (Pearson Jr.) as both a driver and a friend, so if I was going to start a new team he was a great choice to be our driver,” Stuckey continued.

Earl Pearson Jr is a 4-time series champion of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. He swept it, four years straight between 2004-2008.

“We know this will be a big step for both of us, but I know Stuckey and all the staff at Black Diamond Chassis are the hardest working guys in the sport. I have enjoyed working with Stuckey for many years, and I honestly believe that we can be successful,” Earl Pearson Jr said of the new team.

A new Black Diamond Chassis can be purchased directly from Stuckey Enterprises. The 2018 roller’s are priced at $33,500, before the past-champion’s discount.

Last year, Pearson picked up two wins on the Lucas Dirt tour. The first came at Boyd’s Speedway (March 31) and the second at Lucas Oil Speedway (May 25).

The new season gets rolling next week as the LOLMDS invades Georgia and Florida. The first stop is Golden Isles Speedway where the season official takes the first green flag on February 2nd. The tour then heads to East Bay Raceway Park and then to Bubba Raceway Park.
