The Dirt Million driver reward points will gift 4 drivers will provisional starting spots – Here are the points so far
It’s been a week since the Dirt Million website launched. Now, the points have been tallied for the first week.
In addition, the purse has escalated to $289,962. The event was announced at $200k. However, just ahead of the website launch Arizona Sport Shirts kicked in $50k, bringing it to $250k.
The increase since the website launch has been due to online purchases via the website. The fans themselves have added nearly $40k to the purse, in the first week.
Two of the young guns sit at the top of the driver reward board. Bobby Pierce and Devin Moran accumulated the most points in the first week of the launch.
Scott Bloomquist also joined twitter last week. The timing of his presence of social media can likely be attributed to this very event.
Pierce was one of the more active drivers with sharing the link to his driver profile page on the Dirt Million website. From that link, fans are able to buys tires, pit passes and entry fees for their driver. They are also able to buy tickets for themselves.
At the checkout screen, fans use a drop down box to select with driver they would to send their points to. The point payout is simple, for every $1 a fan spends on the Dirt Million website it’s 1 point for their selected driver.
In addition, Bobby Pierce placed a DirtMillion.com banner on his new website. A banner ad is valued at 500 points.
The Dirt Million is the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned event. The race will be hosted at Mansfield Motor Speedway in Mansfield, Ohio. The race will run from August 24-25, 2018.
The top 4 drivers after 25 weeks will earn a provisional starting spot in the main event.
