Practice | June 15 | June 16
Scott Bloomquist is the current track record holder at Magnolia Motor Speedway. He circled the 3/8-mile dirt oval at 12.961 on June 12, 2015.
That track record time was broken in practice by two drivers. Brian Rickman was quickest overall, turning a 12.945 and Jimmy Owens was second quick with a 12.955. Owens put it back in the box after his fast lap.
Scott Bloomquist was not in attendance for practice. As it’s just a practice round, the times don’t count toward the official track record. Though, it’s likely a hint at what we’ll see in qualifying later tonight.
Don O’Neal and Josh Richards each went out for the most practice runs. Both LOLMDS drivers made 11 separate runs around Magnolia Motor Speedway. In total, 22 dirt late model drivers made it to the track to turn a lap.
The first night of racing the 2018 Clash at the Mag will take place tonight in Columbus, MS.
