2018 Brickyard 400 starting lineup for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race on September 9, 2018
On-track action was scheduled to begin on Friday, it didn’t. Rain has washed out the entirety of practice and qualifying for both divisions in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick will lead them to the green in the 2018 Brickyard 400 at IMS. Busch has collected six race wins while Harvick has collected seven. The Joe Gibbs Racing #18 is 39 points ahead of Stewart-Haas Racing #4 as far as car owner points.
Teams are set to turn their first laps in lap one of the race. Due to a lack of qualifying, the field has been set by car owner points.
Two cars will be sent to the rear of the field. Martin Truex Jr was scheduled to start in 3rd. Daniel Suarez was set to start 20th. Both car chiefs have been ejected from the speedway.
