34 dirt late models hit the track for the first Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series practice of the season.
On Thursday night, drivers unloaded at the 4/10th-mile oval in Waynesville, GA. It’s practice for the first race of the season. Golden Isles Speedway is set to host the LOLMDS season opener later tonight.

At 7:30, Josh Richards became the first car to crack the 14 second bracket. He turned a 14.990 in his #14 Rocket Chassis for Clint Bowyer Racing.
In the 8:18 session, Hudson O’Neal became the second driver in the 14 second bracket. He turned a 14.975 to bring him to the top of the time sheets.
This is Hudson O’Neal first week in the car since he went into shoulder surgery last year.
Josh Richards and Hudson O’Neal battled for the win in thew first race of 2018 at this very track. If practice means anything, it would appear we’re in for the same battle this weekend.
