Big changes this time around…
The rear spoiler was 8 inches last time at this track. It’s been trimmed to 2.75 inches this time. Additionally, the front splitter has been reduced to take away front end downforce as well.
Beyond aero, Goodyear has brought a new tire. It’s designed to wear more over the course of longer runs.
The track has made some changes as well. The upper two lanes are covered in PJ1 to promote an outside groove. The bottom lane and a half have not seen a PJ1 application.

Practice – Report
Duration: 50 minutes
The green is out on the session. Many teams hit the track in a hurry to check out the new rules package.
5 minutes in, Chase Elliott sits at the top of the board. And to make race fans happy, his backend is sideways at the same time.
12 minutes in, Cole Custer has his hood up as they chase power steering issues. His teammate, Kevin Harvick also had power steering issues last week.
Kurt Busch is driving his car off the right rear. That’s a sigh of relief for the hardcore race fans out there.
“It’s going to be heavy on the right rear. Your right rear temps are too high,” Kurt Busch radio.
Chase Elliot is fastest at the halfway point in practice.
