Stage 1 – Report

Laps: 60 (1-60 / 188)

Green flag, they run even into turn one and off turn two. Several laps later, McDowell finally noses ahead on the inside lane.

Lap 5, Truex Jr leads the outside lane. They form three wide for the lead. Wallace shoves Truex Jr to the front.

Lap 7, Chastain shoves Daniel Hemric to the lead.

Lap 16, Hamlin shoves Briscoe to the lead. They remain three wide all the way through the field.

Lap 30, McLeod shoves Truex Jr to the lead on the outside lane.

Lap 40, BJ McLeod is out of fuel. He pulls out of line, brushes the wall and heads to the pit lane under green.

Lap 43, Denny Hamlin locks up coming to the pit lane. He spins, no caution.

Lap 46, the first green flag pit cycle is complete. Chase Elliott cycles out with the lead.

1 to go in stage one, Cindric leads with Larson on his inside. Larson is on the tail of the lead lap. Elliott shoves Larson out front.

Larson pulls out of line. Cindric and Elliott run side by side to the line.

Stage 2 – Report

Laps: 60 (61-120 / 188)

Cindric leads the field to the pit lane. Kyle Busch wins the race to the pit exit.

Green flag on stage two, Busch and Blaney run side by side at the front. Blaney wins the early battle with a push from Cindric.

Lap 69, Austin Dillon shoves Shane van Gisbergen to the lead via the outside lane. They remain three wide at the front.

Lap 70, many drivers are saving fuel. Nemechek to the front as the lead is swapping quickly.

Lap 100, the pace has picked back up. Buescher leads with Gilliland on his bumper.

Lap 104, Corey LaJoie spins in water exiting the pit lane, no caution.

Slow stop for Denny Hamlin as he locks up again coming to the pit lane. He misses his stall and he’s forced to backup.

Penalty: Bell and Blaney are caught speeding on the pit lane and they’ll serve a pass-through.

8 to go in stage two, the green flag cycle is complete. Logano cycles out with the race lead.

7 to go, Buescher has momentum on Logano. Logano blocks and Buescher dives inside in a move to take the lead.

3 to go, Cindric shoves Logano to the lead.

1 to go, Larson leads the outside lane as Logano leads the inside. They run side by side off turn four. Logano noses ahead in the tri-oval.

Laps: 68 (121-188 / 188)

Green flag on stage three, Logano and Chastain run side by side into turn one. Chastain wins the battle via the inside lane.

Lap 130, Logano works outside of Chastain, side by side for the lead.

55 to go, the middle of the pack stacks up. Chase Elliott turns Justin Haley. Haley then hooks Christopher Bell into the wall. The caution is out.

Chastain leads the field to the pit lane. Logano wins the race to the pit exit. Several cars stay out. Josh Berry takes over the lead as Logano restarts 7th.

Green, Berry and Gragson form side by side for the lead.

48 to go, Chastain shoves Justin Haley to the lead via the outside lane. Michael McDowell quickly takes it away.

37 to go, a group of Toyota dive for the pit lane under green for fuel only.

33 to go

33 to go, John Hunter Nemechek shoves Bubba Wallace into turn three. Erik Jones gets turned off the bumper draft from Bubba Wallace! All three cars were not aligned and it’s a bump draft gone wrong. Jones is hooked hard into the outside wall! Denny Hamlin and John Hunter Nemechek are also collected. The caution is out.

McDowell leads most of the field to the pit lane. Reddick stays out and takes over the lead. McDowell restarts 2nd.

Green, Reddick and McDowell form side by side for the lead. Keselowski shoves McDowell to the lead.

15 to go, McDowell leads as he blocks runs from both lanes behind him.

5 to go, McDowell and Reddick form side by side for the lead.

2 to go, Keselowski shoves McDowell clear at the front.

1 to go, McDowell and Reddick run side by side into turn one for the final time. Keselowski shoves McDowell clear into turn three.

Keselowski looks outside of McDowell into the tri-oval. McDowell blocks, Keselowski dives inside. McDowell blocks again and he’s turned! Multiple cars tangle in the crash.

Tyler Reddick slips by both of them to take the win at Talladega Superpseedway!
