Weather has delayed the start of this race due to lightning. Rain is in the area but we have rain tires ready. Several teams will be starting on wet tires while others have stuck with slicks.
Austin Cindric is set to roll from the pole position.
Chase Briscoe completes the front row.
Daytona Xfinity Race
Stage 1 – Report
Laps: 15 (1-15 / 52)
Green flag, Cindric noses ahead at the launch but Briscoe makes it up under braking. Cindric runs wide and pushes Briscoe off track in turn one and Briscoe falls to 4th. Gragson leads out of turn one as he drives by both of them.
Lap 6, Gragson breaks traction out of turn 6. Cindric drives under him and takes the lead as they head into the turn three oval.
Lap 2, Chase Briscoe has missed the chicane. Haley and Chastain also miss the chicane All three are forced to come to a stop on the track before restarting.
Lap 5, Cindric leads Allmendinger by 2.5 seconds.
Lap 12
Trouble on lap 12, Ross Chastain he come to a stop with a transmission issue. At the same time, Justin Haley is around and in the grass. Haley clipped the grass in the chicane and ripped the entire front nose off.
Allmendinger heads to the pits, just ahead of the yellow. The caution is out.
Pit penalty: Allmendinger carried equipment out of his pit stall. He will be handed a one lap hold penalty.
Most of the field hits the pit lane. Cindric stays out. It will be a one lap shootout to the end of stage 1.
Green, Cindric leads into turn one. James Buford picks off Michael Annett for 2nd in turn two. Gragson is flying through the field on new tires.
Hemric is in the wall behind them, no caution.

Stage 2 – Report
Laps: 15 (16-30 / 52)
Cindric hits the pit lane from the lead. Very few follow as most of the field pitted just before the end of stage 1. Gragson will lead the field to the green.
Green flag on stage two, Gragson leads the field into turn one. Riley Herbst is turned into turn two by Earl Bamber.
Race leader Gragson clips the grass and spins ahead of turn 5! Moderate damage as Gragson hits the tire barrier. Briscoe is handed the lead and the caution is out.
Green, Briscoe leads as Earl Bambertakes over 2nd. Tommy Joe Martins spins from 11th, no caution.
Lap 20
Lap 20, Josh Williams has dropped a wheel. He’s ripped off the front nose in the process. The caution is out for debris.
Green, Briscoe is clear before the start finish line. Burton takes over 2nd.
Lap 25, Briscoe leads Cindric by 1 second. AJ Allmendinger has climbed back into the top 10 after serving the pit penalty.
2 to go in stage two, Cindric is on the bumper of Briscoe for the stage win.
Final lap, Briscoe blocks into turn 6. Cindric looks to the inside anyway and forces him wide as they head into oval turn 2.
Briscoe puts the bumper to Cindric in the backstretch chicane. He works inside of him off the corner and onto the turn three oval.
Briscoe wins stage two at the Daytona Road Course!

Stage 3 – Report
Laps: 23 (31-53 / 52)
The field heads to the pit lane. Briscoe wins the race to the pit exit, no change. Bilicki and Heckert stay out.
Green flag on stage three, Briscoe has a run from row two and he returns to the lead in turn one. Cindric runs wide and falls to 4th.
Lap 35, Cindric has quickly climbed back to 2nd. Briscoe leads and Cindric is in pursuit.
12 to go, Briscoe leads Cindric by 2.5 seconds. This could be a fuel race in the coming laps.
10 to go
10 to go, Bamber has found the tire barrier after clipping the grass and nearly rolling it in the bus stop. Heavy damage for him and the caution is out.
The field heads for the pit lane. Three stay out.
Briscoe runs four wide into turn one. The front 5+ cars all run wide in turn one! Brandon Jones pops out with the lead. That was comical. Multiple spins, multiple crashes and the caution is out.
Green, Brandon Jones leads into turn one. Several different spins behind him, no caution.
Cindric has a look at the lead on the outside, Jones holds the spot. Cindric drives it deep into turn 6 and he clears Jones to take over the lead.
4 to go, Cindric leads Jones by 2 seconds. Justin Allgaier is the car on the move in 3rd.
3 to go, Allmendinger gets into the back of Allgaier and spins him out. He rights it but drops from 3rd to 9th.
2 to go, Gragson works alongside Andy Lally for 3rd.
At the front, Cindric is gone. Austin Cindric wins the debut on the Daytona Road Course!
