This weekend, the NASCAR Playoffs roll into the tiny paperclip oval for one important race. Martinsville Speedway is set to host the final elimination race before next week’s championship finale.

8 drivers remain in the NASCAR Playoffs heading into Martinsville Speedway, cutting it down from 16 just a few weeks prior. Now, after this weekend at Martinsville, four more will be cut, setting the final four for the championship race at Phoenix.
The Martinsville Speedway starting grid is already set. Brad Keselowski will roll from the pole position while Martin Truex Jr completes the front row.

There’s no practice or qualifying sessions for the rest of the year. Previously, race lineups were set via a random draw. Now, a weighted system determines the starting lineup.
-Playoff drivers line up first, followed by non-playoff drivers.
-50% on finishing position from previous race.
-35% on points position after previous race.
-15% on fastest race lap from previous race.
