High profile donors from the NASCAR industry help support Kyle Larson’s pledge
The Sanneh Foundation empowers youth programs in a wide range of ways. Those include in-school and out-of-school sports camps which are offered free of charge. It also helps parents take on new jobs while their children have a safe space to learn. But, the foundation reaches beyond camps.
The foundation is based in St. Paul, MN. They’ve provided 33,000 Free Nutritious Meals, 30,000 hours of academic intervention and 85 camps with 7,500 campers.
Kyle Larson visited with the foundation in the summer. In the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the foundation helped provide food distribution, education support and community assistance.
Five months after the first visit with the Sanneh Foundation, Larson returned and aimed for a $50k fundraising goal. The fundraising efforts began on December 1st, 2020.
The Sanneh Foundation states, “Over the summer, Kyle spent time with Sanneh helping with food distribution, conducting round table conversations with youth staff, and learning about the difficult racial history of the African American community in Minnesota through the help of Hallie Q. Brown.”
They added, “Kyle also took time to mourn and pay respects with the Sanneh staff at the George Floyd memorial. Throughout the last few months, Kyle has become an advocate for The Sanneh Foundation and its mission to advance equity, diversity, and community well-being.”
Larson said, “Tony and his crew are doing amazing things to especially help those hurt by this pandemic.”
There’s now just two days left in the fundraiser. They are close to reaching the $50k goal but help is needed.
