Larson hasn’t raced in NASCAR since March 2020. During quarantine, drivers took to the digital world of iRacing. While attempting to reach his personal spotter on a private channel, he used the n-word.

Larson was fired by Chip Ganassi Racing. He was also suspended by NASCAR. That suspension was officially lifted on January 1, 2021.

In his time away from NASCAR, Larson has returned to the dirt tracks. He’s dominated, winning almost everything. Most recently, he won the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series season opener at All-Tech Raceway, leaving only a handful of cars on the lead lap.

Now, Hendrick Motorsports has moved Alex Bowman to the No. 48 machine following Jimmie Johnson’s retirement. The No. 88 has been shelved as the famous Hendrick No. 5 machine makes it’s return.

The speculation has been building regarding Kyle Larson’s 2021 NASCAR sponsor. The announcement of Larson’s new contract with Hendrick came in October 2020.

In late December, merchandise for Larson’s deal with Hendrick hit the internet for the first time. The graphic tees featured an all red car with no sponsor images. However, the shirts and hats did appear to be in the same style as HendrickCars.com.

In early January, images of Larson’s NASCAR hauler leaked on the internet. HendrickCars.com was the main logo on the hauler. However, there were several other logos placed on the hauler as well.
