Miami TV Ratings: February 2021 (NASCAR Weekend)

NASCAR tv viewership for Homestead-Miami Speedway; NASCAR wins big, again!

For the second weekend in a row, NASCAR was the most watching sporting event of the weekend. Over the weekend, the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series visited Homestead-Miami Speedway in Florida.

On Saturday, the 1,238,000 tuned in for the NASCAR Xfinity Series race. Fans saw Myatt Snider grab his first career victory.

In the NASCAR Cup race, William Byron drove away to claim his first win of the 2021 racing season and second of his career.

Sunday’s finale at the 1.5-mile track brought 4,239,000 fans to their screens. The event grabbed an overall household rating of 2.48.

Comparison (2020): Those NASCAR tv numbers are up significantly from the 2.78M who watch the race at Homestead in June of 2020. Last year’s race was also on FOX and saw a rating of just 1.75.

Comparison (2019): In 2019, the NASCAR season came to a close at Homestead-Miami Speedway. However, the finale was still lower than last weekend’s race as 3.74M tuned in for the 2019 race.
