On Sunday, NASCAR returned home to Charlotte, North Carolina. Charlotte Motor Speedway hosted the Coca-Cola 600 for the NASCAR Cup Series.

Kyle Larson dominated the 600-mile event by winning all four stages. The win placed Hendrick Motorsports at the top of the wins list for NASCAR teams in the history of the sport.

On Tuesday afternoon, three penalties have been issued including a suspension. Hendrick Motorsports received two of those penalties.

Penalty: Crew chief ( Kevin Bellicourt ) has been fined $20,000 and suspended from the next NASCAR Cup Series Championship Points Even

Driver: William Byron #24

Infraction Date: May 30, 2021 (Post-Race)

Level: Safety

Infraction: Sections 10.9.10.4 – Tires and Wheels – Note: Lug nut(s) not properly installed.

Penalty: Crew chief ( Rudy Fugle ) has been fined $10,000.

Driver: Alex Bowman #48

Infraction Date: May 30, 2021 (Post-Race)

Level: Safety

Infraction: Sections 10.9.10.4 – Tires and Wheels – Note: Lug nut(s) not properly installed.

Penalty: Crew chief ( Greg Ives ) has been fined $10,000.
