Racing driver kicks moving race car in rage, breaks leg (Video)

Retaliation went sideways really fast at the dirt track over the weekend

Pike County Speedway is a 3/8-mile dirt track in Magnolia, MS. The track closed in 2012 but recently re-opened the gates to entertain Mississippi race fans.

On Saturday night, the track hosted a Independence day special. It was the first of a two day show.

Two drivers were involved in a crash in the street stock division. The #14 driver of Field Mouse climbed from his car with rage.

The rest of the street stock field rolled around the track at caution speeds.

Mouse then abandoned his race car and took off on foot, sprinting backwards down the front stretch. In a moment of error, he elected to kick the moving race car that was coming his way.

Immediately, Mouse was rolling on the ground as he attempted to continue walking but failed to do so. A track worker on a four-wheeler approached the driver as he flailed around but the track worker didn’t climb from the ATV.

Moments later, a different track worker ran to the injured driver on foot and kneeled down to help. The red flag was put out, bringing car the cars to a stop as the safety workers attended to the driver.

Field Mouse was credited with 13th but he made a trip to the hospital.

Pike County Speedway commented via social media, “he has a broken bone in leg and dislocated his ankle.”

We all make mistakes. Some are just larger than others and sometimes, those mistakes are caught on video.
