23XI Racing purchases $3.7 million in land

A new NASCAR team shop could be a part of a much larger development project

23XI Racing came together in a matter of months. Now, for next year, the team will expand to a two-car operation. But, there’s more growth on the way…

2311 Real Estate Holdings LLC purchased 15 acres of land in July per Mecklenburg County real estate records.

They paid $3.7 for the land in Huntersville, NC. The land is part of a larger mixed-use development.

The mixed-use development was discussed earlier in the year. It features 300 apartments, a hotel, flex space and commercial office space. Cornelius developer Jake Palillo is behind the project.

“We could not be more excited than to have the joint venture with Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan along with Bubba Wallace coming to Huntersville,” said Mayor John Aneralla earlier this year.

The team currently operates out of the old Premium Motorsports shop.

Recently, 23XI Racing announced that Kart Busch had singed to drive for the team. The No. 45 makes a return to the sport. Michael Jordan previously used No. 45 for a brief time in his NBA career.

A charter for the second car remains unknown. Said charter would guarantee a starting spot in every race.

Hamlin has previously stated that he’s looking to build the “Google of race shops.”
