Tonight, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series goes bullring racing. The 1/4-mile of Brownstown Speedway is set to host the first of two nights in the Jackson 100.

Jonathan Davenport is not in the lineup tonight. The driver will miss the weekend after a positive COVID test.

Tomorrow night, they’ll race for $20,000 to win. Tonight, they’re racing for $10,000 to win.

Main Event
Report

Green flag, James and Rice run even into turn one. James leads on the inside off turn two.

Lap 3, Rice knocks the cushion and pulls even. Spencer Hughes spins behind them, caution.

Green, James leads into turn one. Hudson O’Neal and Rice battle for 2nd, Rice wins the battle on the outside lane.

Kyle Bronson spins, caution. Bronson is out of the race with a power steering issue.

Green, James leads into turn one. Rice knocks the cushion and holds 2nd off turn two.

James locks up the left front into turn three as Rice pulls even in the battle for the lead, Rice completes the pass. Hudson O’Neal spins behind them, caution. O’Neal will go to the back.

Green, Rice leads into turn one. Tyler Erb and Scott James run side by side for 2nd. Owens sticks his nose in the battle.

Lap 7, caution for debris as Justin Ratliff lost a driveshaft.

Green, Rice noses ahead into turn one. James drives it deep to the bottom, he pulls even with Rice but loses all his momentum off the corner. Tyler Erb moves to 2nd. Jimmy Owens knocks the cushion and takes 3rd away as James drops to 4th.

Tyler Erb works the inside lane. He pulls even with Rice. Rice drives it hard into the outside of turn one, he knocks the ruts but Erb still holds the lead.

Lap 17, Rice keeps rolling the cushion as Erb rolls the bottom. Rice retakes the lead via the outside!

Halfway

Lap 20, they’ve caught the tail of the field. Rice lead Erb by five car lengths.

Lap 25, Erb moves to the cushion. Owens and Gillpin are closing on the bumper of Erb in the battle for 2nd.

Lap 27, caution as Scott James slows from 8th.

Green, Rice leads as Owens and Erb run side by side for 2nd. Owens jumps the cushion back in turn one, Erb holds 2nd.

Lap 29, Rice bobbles off turn four. Erb pulls even and clears him into turn one to take the lead. Rice slows with a right rear flat and the caution is out!

Green, Erb leads. Gilpin slides right across the nose of Owens for 2nd in turn one. Owens drives into the back of Gilpin and they both run over the banking off turn two. They re-enter the track in turn three and Owens drives right into his door. Both cars are now over the banking in turn three and the caution is out. Gilpin and Owens head to the hauler.

Green, Erb leads into turn one. McCreadie and Tanner English run side by side for 2nd. McCreadie takes 2nd on the outside off turn two.

6 to go, caution as Ashton Winger slows.

Green, Erb leads into turn one. McCreadie holds 2nd off turn two.

5 to go, Hudson O’Neal slows and the caution is out. O’Neal pulls to the hauler.

Green, Erb leads McCreadie on the single file restart.

4 to go, Moran drives it deep to the bottom on Sheppard for 3rd.

2 to go, Erb opens the gap to McCreadie.
