Bristol Dirt returns in 2023

The NASCAR dirt race at Bristol Motor Speedway will be back next year

Last weekend, the Bristol Motor Speedway hosted their second NASCAR Cup Series race on the dirt. Now, crews are at work to remove the dirt for a race on their concrete surface later in the year.

And after that, they’ll repeat the process all over again. The Bristol Dirt Race will be on the schedule once again in 2023.

The announcement was made on Tuesday. It came just hours after the tv ratings became available. Sunday’s dirt race brought an average of over 4 million viewers, making it the most-watched Bristol race since 2016.

The race saw two delays for rain. Despite that, the track put up great numbers and fans were rewarded with a thrilling finish as Tyler Reddick and Chase Briscoe crashed while going for the win.
