ARCA race results from Mid-Ohio
Today, the ARCA Menards Series unloads in Lexington, Ohio. It’s the Dawn 150 on the 2.258-mile, 13-turn road course of Mid-Ohio. Rain has fallen just ahead of the green but the rain tires are installed and we’re going racing!

John Hunter Nemechek and Sammy Smith set the front row. 42 laps of road course racing are up next…
Green flag, Nemechek is clear by 5 car lengths out of turn one. Parker Chase takes over 2nd. Multiple cars spin deeper in the field.
Casey Carden is stalled on track, caution.
Green, Nemechek leads them into turn one. Parker Chase spins the tires and Nick Sanchez takes over 2nd.
Lap 5, Rajah Caruth slides Nick Sanchez for 2nd into turn one. He drops a wheel off the corner but still completes the pass.
Penalty: Jesse Love is serving a pass through penalty for changing lanes before the starting line on the last restart. Love falls to 7th as he exits the pit lane.
Lap 7, Nick Sanchez is off track in turn one. He falls to 6th.
Lap 8, Rajah Caruth is closing on the leader. However, he pushes too hard and spins. Nemechek now leads Caruth by 13 seconds after that mistake.
Lap 11, Rajah Crauth spins and he falls to 6th.
Lap 12, Parker Chase spins out of turn one. He does a 360 and holds 2nd. Nemechek leads by 23 seconds, the gap was just 12 seconds before the spin.
Lap 20, race leader John Hunter Nemchek doors the lap car of Grag Van Alst. He keeps it rolling and holds the lead.
Lap 22, Daniel Dye drives it off into the beach, no caution.
Lap 22, the race break caution is out. Caruth, Chase and Sanchez install fresh slick tires. Nemechek puts a new set of rain tires on.
Green, Nemechek leads into turn one. Sammy Smith works to the outside of Chase for 2nd into turn one. Nick Sanchez and Rajah Caruth make contact, Caruth is off track and falls to 7th.
18 to go, Nemececk leads Sammy Smith by a car length. Both cars are on wet tires.
14 to go, Nemechek struggles with the lap car of Amber Balcean out of turn one. Sammy Smith has a run and takes over the race lead!
13 to go, Nemechek retuns to the lead. Nick Sanchez runs 5th, the first car with slick tires but he’s 9 seconds back of the leader.
12 to go, Sammy Smith works inside of Nemechek, light contact and Smith takes the lead. Sammy Smith drives it deep into the corner, he spins and Nemechek returns to the lead as Smith is off in the grass.
11 to go, Nick Sanchez is up to 3rd. He trails the leader by just 1.4 seconds.
10 to go
10 to go, Sanchez is up to 2nd. Sanchez has a run into turn two, he dives to the inside and drives right by. Nick Sanchez takes over the race lead!
8 to go, Colby Howard stalls on track, caution.
Most of the field hits the pit lane for fresh slicks. 4 cars stay out, Kris Wright takes over the race lead.
Green, Wright and Chase run even into turn one. Kris Wright leads off turn two.
4 to go, Jesse Love makes contact with John Hunter Nemechek in turn 3. Both cars spins, no caution.
Penalty: Nick Sanchez and Rajah Caruth sit on the pit lane as they go from slicks to slicks which isn’t allowed. Officials holds them for a lap.
3 to go, Taylor Gray doors Kris Wright, Gray takes over the race lead.
1 to go, Parker Chase spins John Hunter Nemechek, no caution.
