The Indianapolis Road Course was the most-watched sporting event of the weekend
Over the weekend, NASCAR, INDYCAR and ARCA invaded Indianapolis. Races were hosted on the Indianapolis Road Course as well as the Indianapolis Raceway Park short track.

Friday’s ARCA race at Indianapolis Raceway Park brought 219,000 viewers. The NASCAR Truck Series race at the same track brought 492,000 viewers later that night.
Saturday afternoon’s Indycar race at Indianapolis was seen by 1,046,000. Meanwhile, the NASCAR Xfinity Series race later that afternoon grabbed 1,516,000 viewers.
Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race was seen by 3,373,000 on average with a household rating of 2.05. That makes it the most-watched sporting event of the weekend.
For comparison, 1,249,000 tuned in to watch F1’s Hungarian Grand Prix on Sunday. 622,000 tuned in for the NHRA’s Northwest Nationals.
