ThorSport will make the switch to Ford for 2023. And that change has brought in a new roster.

Christian Eckes departed the team for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing. Now, 23-year-old Hailie Deegan will step into the team driving the No. 13 Ford F-150.

ThorSport Drivers (2023): Hailie Deegan, Matt Crafton, Ben Rhodes and Ty Majeski.

The team is based out of Cleveland, Ohio.

“To see Ford and ThorSport rekindle their relationship and for me to be a part of it, just makes it even better,” Deegan stated.

“I feel like there’s a lot of communication, everyone’s really close. Because, I think that they’re in Ohio, I think it forces them to be, a little bit. They’re the only race team out here.”

Deegan won the 2022 NASCAR Truck Series most popular driver award.

ThorSport comments on the switch to Ford

“With 28 years in the Truck Series, we look forward to the partnership with Ford Performance in NASCAR,” said team owner Duke Thorson. “Our pursuit of wins and championships remains at the forefront of our objectives.”

“We’re happy to welcome ThorSport back to our NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series program,” said Mark Rushbrook, global director, Ford Performance Motorsports.  “Duke has assembled one of the best organizations in the series with a driver lineup that is filled with youth and experience.  We celebrated a championship together just a few years ago and know they have the potential to do it again in 2023.”

2023 will be Deegan’s third full-time season in the NASCAR Truck Series.
