Dirt sprint car team loses toterhome while traveling to Knoxville Raceway

Knoxville Raceway is a famed dirt track located in Knoxville, Iowa. The track was scheduled to host a night of sprint car racing on Saturday. However, rain flooded the infield and canceled those plans.

Axsom was en route to the speedway. And just after the program was canceled for the night, the toter caught fire.

Emerson Axsom, “Pretty scary situation, headed to Knoxville and right after they called the races the toter caught fire. Thankfully everyone is okay. Sucks but glad everyone is okay.”

Axsom competes in the USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship. The team sits 3rd in the driver standings.
