Keizer Wheels factory catches fire

Tragic scenes from the factory of the auto racing supplier

Keizer Wheels provides wheels for a wide range of racing industries. The company is based in Orange City, Iowa and produces high-qualify aluminum wheels.

On Wednesday night, their factory caught fire. The fire started around 9:30pm CT.

It took multiple fire departments to extinguish the flames. Four hours later, the fire finally dissipated.

Orange City Fire Chief Denny Vander Wel wasn’t sure what started the fire. However, he estimated the property damage at $4 million.

Now, a popular supplier in the racing industry will be forced to start from scratch.

Keizer Wheels commented via social media, “We are devastated @ K2W We’re heartbroken for all keizer customers that have taken us here. We don’t know if this is the end, or a new beginning. We’ll have temp office set up on Tuesday to start fielding questions. We appreciate the prayers from our racing family. Luv you all.”
