Watch the video as there was drama at Bristol Motor Speedway!
On Saturday night, the NASCAR Cup Series raced at Bristol Motor Speedway. We saw drama between Carson Hocevar and Ryan Blaney.
With 43 laps to go, Blaney rolled the bottom and cleared Hocevar in the battle for 2nd. Hocevar crossed under him and had a run into turn one.
Blaney attempted to throw a block. Hocevar elected not to lift. Hocevar hooked him in the left rear.
Blaney backed it hard into the outside wall, ending his night early.
Yet, Blaney hung around after the race. He walked up to the driver of the No. 77 and grabbed him by his suit.
Hocevar wasted no time! He threw an immediate right hand at Blaney’s head. He then threw another.
The crews jumped in and Blaney was tackled to the ground. He wrestled his way off the ground.
After a few seconds, Blaney ran full speed back toward Hocevar. He was able to get a jab in before the two drivers were force separated.
“This is bound to happen,” Jeff Burton stated.

Ryan Blaney comments after the crash
“We got clear there off of four and I tried to protect,” Ryan Blaney told USA Sports after the crash.
“He crossed and never lifted and crashed. Yeah, that’s what I thought happened. That’s what it looked like.”
“I don’t (expletive) know! I got crashed,” Blaney responded on who was at fault. “He’s the type of person that’s going to say they did nothing wrong.”

“I wasn’t trying to wreck him,” Hocevar told USA Sports.
“It just looked like, to me, I got a run and kinda went turned left and he spun, I spun him.”
“Yeah, there wasn’t a whole lot of talking. He kinda just said one thing and then went after me. And, I wasn’t going to take it.”
“That was fun with the No. 54. I mean, I got ran into a lot for the win. And, that was for second and he wants to come fight.”
“I don’t know what I did wrong there. I crossed him over. He looked like, spun himself and then he wants to instigate a fight.”
