Ross Chastain and Ryan Blaney both had a talk with Carson Hocevar after the NASCAR race at Atlanta Motor Speedway

On Sunday, NASCAR raced at Atlanta Motor Speedway. In the closing laps, drivers got aggressive resulting in multiple crashes and an overtime finish.

First, Kyle Busch voiced frustrations with Hocevar over his team radio. During the race, Busch stated, “Go tell that No. 77 he’s done the same (expletive) move 10 times. I don’t care if I wreck the whole (expletive) field. I’m over him. He’s an (expletive). I’m going to wreck his ass.”

Then, Hocevar tagged the bumper of Ryan Blaney into turn three. Blaney spun to the apron after the contact.

Finally, there was another incident with Ross Chastain.

At the finish, Carson Hocevar picked up a career-best finish of 2nd place. But, he had a line of drivers waiting for him as he climbed from the car.

Carson Hocevar comments after Atlanta Motor Speedway

“I’ll just leave those to myself,” Carson Hocevar told Fox Sports about the comments those drivers had for him.

“First off, apologies to Larson, HMS and everybody. I didn’t realize we weren’t racing back to the line.”

“I usually ride in the back and run last. There’s some stuff I gotta learn and clean up a little bit.”

Denny Hamlin reacts to the confrontations

“Listen, we are telephone tough guys,” Denny Hamlin stated of the frustration from Kyle Busch via Action Detrimental.

“We will threaten over the radio, anyone and everyone. ‘If he does this. I’m going to send him over the fence!’ “

“Then, nothing ever happens. You’re trying to get the message to the crew chief or the driver’s spotter to hear you. Then say, ‘Be careful around Denny, he’s pretty pissed.’ That’s all you’re trying to do.”

Next up, Hamlin tackled the situation with Hocevar and Blaney:

“Blaney was obviously pissed and rightfully so,” Hamlin added.

“He hit him entering the corner. Blaney explained it right, There’s to learn but there’s also things that you should know. Hitting someone entering a corner on a track that you can’t hit in the corners is a recipe for disaster.”

Finally, Hamlin also shared views on Hocevar’s incident with Ross Chastain:

“I understand both sides of this. It’s hard for me to pick a side,” Hamlin said of Hocevar’s incident with Chastain.

Hocevar pulled out of line, leaving the bumper of Chastain.

“Carson’s trying to get his very first win. I’m making assumptions because Ross didn’t speak on it. Ross probably said, ‘I understand you’re trying to go for the win yourself, Carson. But it killed our line. We all went backwards.’ “

Keep in mind, Hamlin has had his own issues with Ross Chastain. In fact, several of them.
