Toward the end of stage one, Hocevar went for the bottom as he looked to make a pass on Brad Keslowski. Hocevar missed the bottom, went up the track and tagged Keselowski in the left rear.
Keselowski went for a spin off turn two. The stage came to an end and the driver of the No. 6 car wasn’t happy.
Jeff Burton stated from the broadcast booth, “Hocevar just spins him out. This is the thing that everybody gets so frustrated with Carson Hocevar about. Drivers are tired of it. To be honest, in the garage area, everyone is over it.”
