Last weekend, the NASCAR Cup Series and Truck Series raced at WWT Raceway near St. Louis, Missouri. Following the event three penalties have been issued.

The No. 32 team has been handed an L1 penalty for greenhouse modification. Crew chief Dave Elenz will serve a two-race suspension and pay a $75,000 fine. The team has been docked 60 driver points and 5 playoff points.
Joey Cohen, VP, Race Operations will fill in for Elenz on the pit box. The team issued the following statement:

“We have been diligently working with NASCAR regarding the penalty and are working internally to determine the course of action in response,” stated Joey Cohen. “We will announce that decision within the time frame determined by the NASCAR Rule Book.”

Penalty: Crew chief ( Dave Elenz ) has been fined $75,000 and suspended from NASCAR through the next two NASCAR Cup Series championship points events. Team and driver have been assessed with the loss of 60 points and 5 NASCAR Playoff points.
