Watch the NASCAR crash video below.

Ryan Sieg looked under Brennan Poole off turn four. As they entered the tri-oval, Poole merged left and Sieg didn’t move all the way to the grass.

They met in the middle and Poole was sent spinning through the infield grass.

The grass doesn’t slow down a spinning car very well. With the brakes locked up, little speed was taken away from the spinning car as he slid into more danger.

Poole’s spinning car was aimed right for the pit lane wall. He slammed the wall, mangling his machine and lifting the back wheels off the ground.

The car hit the pit stall of Jeffrey Earnhardt. Those crew members ran away from the wall as other ducked behind it.

Cole Custer’s team members comment

Cole Custer’s crew was the stall next to Earnhardt’s. They also ran away from the scene.

#00 Team Radio: “This No. 6 car hit the pit wall, I don’t know, about 8 foot from where I was sitting. I kinda jumped a little bit.”

Cole Custer stated, “Geez, everybody good?”

The team responded, “Thank goodness, everybody on this No. 45 seen it coming and jumped back over the wall. Our guys did too. Everybody’s good here.”

“Thank goodness nobody was sitting on that pit wall or near that pit wall,” Jeff Burton stated via NBC Sports.
