NASCAR managing director charged with DWI

Seth Kramlich will be absent from the track this weekend

A bit of drama in the tower…

Seth Kramlich is the managing director for the NASCAR Truck Series. He moved into the position in January 2022.

On Saturday morning, Kramlich was arrested and charged with DWI. The incident took place in North Carolina.

Back in August, two NASCAR drivers were arrested in separate incidents within the same week. Both were charged with a DWI.

Only two races remain on the 2023 NASCAR Truck Series schedule. Kramlich will not take part in either of them.

That includes this weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway. He’ll also be absent from the championship race at Phoenix Raceway.

Wayne Auton, the series director for the NASCAR Xfinity Series will pull double-duty. Auton will also be the managing director for the NASCAR Truck Series this weekend.

Kramlich has been a NASCAR member since 2014. In 2019, he became the assistant director in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

This weekend, Homestead-Miami Speedway is hosting the NASCAR Cup Series, Xfinity Series and Truck Series. The 1.5-mile track is located in Homestead, Florida.
