Nine Cars Break Track Record in Qualifying for 62nd Rolex 24 At Daytona International Speedway
The Rolex 24 takes place this week at Daytona International Speedway. The race spans 24 hours for the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Series.

Pipo Derani set the overall fast time in IMSA qualifying at Daytona International Speedway. He turned a lap of 1:32.656 in the Whelen Cadillac RacingCadillac V-LMDh.

All nine GTP class cars broke the previous track record.
“Obviously, the Cadillac was flying out there today,” Derani said. “It was just a privilege and a pleasure to drive such a car – really well balanced. There was great teamwork to improve what was needed for qualifying. The car felt on rails, and it was nice to enjoy and feel the full potential of GTP.
The No. 5 car did not take part in qualifying. Neel Jani went off track in a practice session before qualifying.
The Rolex 24 event takes place Jan 24-28th, 2024.
