Kyle Larson is racing in the Indy 500. Due to a weather delay, he’s going to miss the start of this race. The driver still plans to climb in the car later tonight but Justin Allgaier will start the race in the No. 5 car.

Stage 1 – Report
Laps: 100 (1-100 / 400)
Green flag, Gibbs is clear into turn one. Byron wins the battle for 2nd.
Lap 52, the first pit cycle is complete. Gibbs cycles back to the lead, Byron is on his bumper.
Lap 72, Gibbs works heavy lap traffic. Byron drives to his inside in turn three. He clears him, Byron to the lead.
Lap 87, BJ McLeod spins of turn four, caution.
Byron leads the field to the pit lane. Gibbs wins the race to the pit exit.
Green, Gibbs and Byron run side by side for the lead. Byron wins the battle via the outside lane.
William Byron wins stage one at Charlotte Motor Speedway!

Stage 2 – Report

Byron leads most of the leaders to the pit lane. Gibbs fakes and he stays on the track to inherit the lead.
Green flag on stage two, Gibbs and Chastain run side by side for the lead. Chastain wins the battle on the outside lane off turn two.
Lap 113, Bell works under Gibbs for 2nd.
Bell has a run on Chastain off turn four. With fresher tires, Bell drives right by to take the lead away.
Lap 147, Ryan Blaney has lost the left front wheel. He picks up heavy damage after contact with the wall, no caution.
Lap 153, the green flag pit cycle is complete. Bell returns to the lead as Bubba Wallace trails by 2 seconds.
The caution is out as Blaney’s car is stuck on the pit lane.
Bell returns to the pit lane with most of the field. Gibbs wins the race to the pit exit with just two tires. Martin Truex Jr and three others stay out.
Green, Martin Truex Jr clears Berry for the lead into turn one.
Lap 167
Lap 167, Berry gets into the back of Byron off turn two. Byron is hooked into the wall but he keeps rolling.
Lap 168, Elliott works under Truex Jr for the lead. He clears him as Byron takes over 2nd.
Lap 170, Byron has a run on Elliott in turn one. Byron to the lead.
Lap 171, Noah Gragson off turn two and he slams the inside wall, caution.
Lap 188, Bell builds speed around the outside lane in turn three. He has a run on Byron and he crosses under him into turn one. Bell to the lead.
5 to go in stage two, Harrison Burton spins on his own and the caution is out.
Christopher Bell wins stage two of the Coca-Cola 600!

Stage 3 – Report

Green flag on stage three, Bell and Byron run side by side for the lead. Several laps later, Bell finally wins the battle via the inside lane.
Lap 229, Corey LaJoie spins on his own into turn one, caution.
Green, Bell clears Keselowski to hold the lead.
Lap 240, Reddick and Gibbs bang doors off turn four. Byron has a run on both of them and Byron rolls through the grass to take 3rd away!
Lap 249, the rain is falling. Kyle Larson has just landed at the same time. NASCAR has red flagged the race due to lightning.
Larson will now climb behind the wheel of the No. 5 car.
After several hours, NASCAR has declared the race official. Christopher Bell is the winner of the Coca-Cola 600!
