NASCAR issues a disqualification after the race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway
On Saturday, New Hampshire Motor Speedway hosted the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
Matt DiBenedetto is the driver of the No. 38 car for RSS Racing. In post-race inspection the car was disqualified.
The No. 38 car was found with three loose lug nuts. That’s in violation of Sections 8.8.10.4 (Tires and Wheels) and 10.5.2.5 (Safety Penalties and Penalty Options) in the NASCAR rulebook.
One lugnut would have brought a fine. Two loose lug nuts would have brought a larger fine as well as a suspension.
DiBenedetto has been regulated to last place, 38th.
Race winner Christopher Bell has cleared inspection. He’s the official race winner.
New Hampshire Results: June 22, 2024 (NASCAR Xfinity Series)
