Jimmie Johnson will have a new crew chief for remaining races in 2024
Jimmie Johnson is a 7-time NASCAR Cup Series champion. Following the 2022 season, he retired from full-time competition then became a team owner via Legacy Motor Club.
Johnson is scheduled to run 9 races in the 2024 season. Six of those races are complete with a best-finish of 28th which he claimed twice via Dover and Daytona.
Now, Legacy Motor Club is making changes to the No. 84 team. Crew chief Jason Burdett has been released from the team around other crew members.
Johnson still intends to run the remaining three races that were previously scheduled. Those are at Kansas Speedway, Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Phoenix Raceway.
At the start of the 2024 season, Legacy made the switch from Chevrolet to Toyota.
