NASCAR penalty issued ahead of the race at EchoPark Speedway (Atlanta Motor Speedway)
NASCAR Cup Series drivers are racing at EchoPark Speedway this weekend. Before drivers roll to the track for qualifying, they are required to pass the NASCAR inspection line.
Kyle Larson failed pre-qualifying inspection twice. As a result, he has been issued a penalty by officials.
The car chief on the No. 5 team has been ejected. Additionally, Larson has lost pit selection for this weekend.
Larson was able to clear inspection on his third attempt through the line.

Pre-Qualifying
The following includes various levels of inspection penalties:
1 Failure
No Penalty
2 Failures
Crew member of NASCAR’s choosing ejected. Additionally, the team loses pit selection.
3 Failures
Not permitted to qualify plus above penalty. They also have to serve a pass-through penalty at the start of the race.
The green flag is set to drop on Saturday night in Hampton, GA.
