Race Report
Green flag, Josef Newgarden spins under braking into turn two! He collects Graham Rahal and they are both stuck in the sand. The caution is out and Newgarden is done for the day.
Green, Palou leads Simpson and Lundgaard. Lundgaard works around Simpson for 2nd.
Lap 12, Will Power is on fire. He heads for the pit lane and climbs out of the car. The green flag is still out.
Lap 27, Palou heads to the pit lane under green. Three laps later, Palou cycles back to the lead. Lundgaard trails by 0.6 seconds.
Lap 31
Lap 31, Christian Rasmussen is off track and stalled. The caution is out.
Green, Palou leads Lundgaard and Simpson into turn one. Simpson falls outside the top 5 in a hurry as he’s struggling with handling. Herta to 3rd.
Lap 45, Santino Ferrucci has been handed a penalty after forcing Conor Daly in the grass.
Lap 54, race leader Alex Palou runs wide in turn four and finds the grass. He gathers it up and still leads Herta by 10 seconds.

Lap 57, Palou pits from the lead. He’ll still need to stop one more time.
Lap 61, Dixon and Simpson drive for the pit lane. This could be their last pit stop. Simpson stalls leaving his pit stall.
18 to go, Palou heads for the pit lane under green for his final stop. Palou is ahead of Dixon by 2 seconds as he exits the pit lane.
10 to go
10 to go, Palou leads Dixon by 3.6 seconds. He’s driving away.
6 to go, Palou wiggles and runs wide in turn nine. He finds the grass and hands the lead to Scott Dixon!
4 to go, Palou is all over the gearbox of Dixon! It’s a shootout for the win.
1 to go, Dixon leads Palou by 0.4 seconds.
Scott Dixon holds him off and wins at Mid-Ohio!
