Malukas climbed from his car on his own but slowly and with help from the safety team. He emmediatly took a seat on his damaged machine and spoke with the medical team.
The 23-year-old was first taken to the infield care center. He was then loaded into the medical helicopter and he’s currently being taken to a trauma center.
“It just looked way too dirty for me. For a car that’s already one lap down,” the FOX broadcast team stated.
Louis Foster was issued a penalty by Indycar. He was forced to serve a pass-through penalty during green flag conditions.
Louis Foster is in a battle for Rookie of the Year.
The race has since concluded.
