NASCAR lawsuit opened by 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports
Earlier this week, the two sides met in settlement discussions. However, nothing came of those discussions and the case continues to get closer to trial.
NASCAR and 23XI Racing/Front Row Motorsports were in court again on Thursday. The 3+ hour hearing was regarding a summery judgement.
Ahead of the trial, the teams are asking the court to rule that NASCAR is “premier stock-car racing.” They are looking to declare that point before the trial begins, helping their case.
On the other side, NASCAR is asking the courts to dismiss the case.
Judge Bell has stated that his ruling on the above items will come in the next two weeks.
After the hearing, attorneys from both sides met with the press at the steps of the courthouse…

Jeffrey Kessler: Team Attorney
“We were delighted to get our day in court today,” team attorney Jeffrey Kessler stated from the steps of the courthouse.
“We think we made our case very well. We think the facts are on our side. And we think the law is on our side. We have great confidence in Judge Bell so we’ll wait and see what he decides.”
He concluded, “That’s all I’m going to talk about. Thank you.”
Kessler also added in an official statement:
“My clients’ goal has always been to provide opportunities for growth and stability for every team and they remain steadfast advocates for a fairer, stronger sport.”
“Today’s hearing confirmed the facts of NASCAR’s monopolistic practices and showed NASCAR for who they are – retaliatory bullies who would rather focus on personal attacks and distract from the facts. My clients have never been more united and committed to ensuring a fair and competitive sport for all teams, partners, drivers and fans.”
“We’re going to trial to hold NASCAR accountable.”
