‘We’ve Lost Dale Earnhardt: 25 Years Later’

NASCAR Studios and FOX Sports have a new documentary set for release. It will be released on the 25th anniversary of the 2001 Daytona 500 which saw the tragic death of Dale Earnhardt.

The new documentary will be premiering Thursday, February 12 at 10 p.m. ET via FS1. This airs directly following The Duels at Daytona.

Here’s a list of who will be featured in the new documentary: Former NASCAR President Mike Helton, 2001 DAYTONA 500 competitors Rusty Wallace and Kurt Busch as well as NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch.

It includes insights from NASCAR Cup Series champions Joey Logano and Ryan Blaney, current O’Reilly Auto Parts Series driver Frankie Muniz (who was the honorary pace car driver at the race) and NASCAR and FOX Sports media personnel Ryan McGee and Patti Wheeler.

The new NASCAR documentary was directed by Justin Burnett, produced by Griffin Van Malssen, Ariana Rotstein, Carl Hansen, Michael Vayder and Rita O’Dea, and executive produced by Eric Shanks, Brad Zager, Tim Clark, John Dahl, Tally Hair and Barry Nugent.

Earnhardt was a 7-time NASCAR Cup Series champion.

The 2026 Daytona 500 is set for Sun, Feb 15, 2:30 PM.
