Daytona race results from Duel 1 and Duel 2; Daytona 500 lineup
Itโs the week of the famed Daytona 500. The 2.5-mile of Daytona International Speedway is set to host two races on a Thursday night.

Kyle Busch locked in the pole position for the Daytona 500 with Chase Briscoe completing the front row. The front row in the big race is locked in from qualifying results on Wednesday.
For everyone else, the results from tonightโs two races will set the remainder of the Daytona 500 lineup. Results from Duel 1 complete the inside row for the Daytona 500 while Duel 2 results will set the outside row.
Duel 1
Race Report
Kyle Busch and Ryan Preece set the front row for the first race of the night. 60 laps of stock car racing are up nextโฆ
Green flag, Alex Bowman shoves Busch clear off turn two. Preece pulls back even on the inside in turn three. Preece leads lap 1.
56 to go, Preece moves from the bottom to the top. John Hunter Nemechek takes over the race lead.
52 to go, Austin Dillon leads the train on the outside lane. He has a line of four RFK Racing cars behind him. Dillon is shoved clear for the lead.
48 to go, Preece dives for the bottom along with the other three RFK cars. He clears Dillon with help and Preece takes the lead away.
15 to go, Preece leads half of the field to the pit lane. Casey Mears locks up and tags the bumper of Noah Gragson. The caution is out as Mears is stuck in the grass. Slow stop for Preece, Buescher wins the race to the pit exit.
Custer and others head for the pit lane. Buescher cycles to the race lead.
Green with 11 to go, Buescher and Logano run side-by-side for the lead.
9 to go, Blaney shoves Logano clear at the front. Buescher pulls back even on the inside into turn three.
7 to go, Kyle Busch pulls out of line and drops to the back.
6 to go, Logano leads the outside lane as Dillon leads the inside lane.
5 to go, Bubba Wallace pulls out of line, he dives to the bottom and clears Logano for the lead. Wallace has lost momentum after the move and Austin Dillon is on his bumper down the backstretch. Wallace is turned in front of the field. Byron, Chandler Smith and others are collected. The caution is out.
Green in Overtime, Logano and Keselowski run side-by-side into turn one.
1 to go, Blaney shoves Logano clear. Corey LaJoie is turned into turn three! The caution is out.
Joey Logano wins Duel 1 at Daytona! Casey Mears in the Open car to advance into the Daytona 500.

Green flag, Hamlin delays his start. Briscoe is clear into turn one and he drops down in front of Hamlin on the inside lane.
30 to go, Chase Elliott clears Hamlin via the outside lane. Elliott drops to the bottom and separates the teammates of Briscoe and Hamlin.
25 to go, Briscoe is blocking runs from both lanes behind him.
21 to go, Ricky Stenhouse Jr shoves Ty Dillon even with Chase Briscoe at the front of the field. A lap later, Dillon is clear and he takes over the lead. Dillon drops to the bottom lane.
19 to go, Anthony Alfredo shoves Michael McDowell to the lead.
16 to go, Chase Briscoe leads most of the Toyotas to the pit lane. Chase Elliott joins them. Slow stop for Briscoe.
15 to go, another group drops to the pit lane.
14 to go, Connor Zilisch pits on his own.
13 to go, Riley Herbst leads the final group to the pit lane.
11 to go, Tyler Reddick cycles to the race lead. He throws a huge block on Chase Elliott. Carson Hocevar clears them both, Hocevar to the lead.
7 to go, Chase Elliott to the lead.
2 to go, Elliott leads Hocevar and Larson as they run single file around the top lane.
Chase Elliott wins Duel 2 at Daytona International Speedway. Anthony Alfredo is the Open lock in.
