Circuit of the Americas viewership numbers for the NASCAR race

On Sunday, the NASCAR Cup Series raced on the Circuit of the Americas road course. Tyler Reddick drove to victory lane becoming the first driver in the history of the sport to win the first three races of the season.

Sunday’s race was seen by 3.933M with a rating of 2.06 according to Adam Stern. That’s down from 4.132M in 2025.

Coverage of the War in the Middle East brought a large spike in viewers across news stations at the same time as the race.

The 2026 race saw a significant jump over 2024 viewership of the same event.

Saturday’ NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race which was also at COTA brought in 1,072,000 viewers on average. The race aired on the CW Network.

The NASCAR Truck Series visited the Streets of St. Petersburg for the first time. And the fans tuned in. 1,039,000 on average saw the Trucks make their debut at the Florida track. The race aired on FOX.

For comparison, Indycar opened their 2026 season with the Streets of St. Petersburg event on Sunday. The race brought in 1.39M viewers on average to the FOX network.
