This is a unique session. Drivers will make multiple laps, on the second lap they’ll pit for four new tires and head out for a third lap to complete the session. The combined three-lap run will set the qualifying time.

Crews are in a battle for $100,000 during this qualifying session. The fastest pit stop will earn the team the award.

Qualifying Report

Connor Zilisch spins under braking coming to the pit lane. He avoids the barriers at the entry to the pit lane.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr spins coming to take the green flag. He just barely clips the wall with the rear bumper. He pulls it right to the garage.

Zane Smith has been issued a 10 second penalty.

Michael McDowell has been issued multiple penalties. 20 seconds total for speeding at the entry and the exit of the pit lane.

AJ Allmendinger’s team is unable to get the car to start. He will not turn a lap.

Daniel Suarez has lost a wheel after his pit stop. The car slams the wall. Despite completely the entire run, NASCAR has issued him a DNF.

Ryan Preece has been handed a blend line violation. That’s a 10 second penalty.

Kyle Larson is hit with a blend line violation and too fast entering. The 20 second penalty docks him to the back of the pack after turning the fastest run so far.

Chris Buescher spins on the apron after exiting the pit lane. He’s also been handed a 20 second penalty.

Ryan Blaney has been issued a safety violation. That’s a 10 second penalty.

Chase Elliott suffers multiple issues on his pit stop.

Denny Hamlin spins out on his get up to speed lap. He corrects it, continues the run and will start from the pole position in the All-Star Race. His run was clocked at 1:49.298.

Zane Smith’s crew wins the pit crew challenge.
