Denny Hamlin comments on having a cheated up car

“when you have a car as illegal and cheated up as mine, it’s so easy.”

Denny Hamlin smoked the NASCAR Cup Series field on Sunday at Michigan International Speedway. The gap to 2nd place was 11.110, making it the largest gap on an oval for a win since the NextGen era began.

With the win, the 45-year-old is now tied for 9th all-time on the NASCAR wins list. He has collected 63 NASCAR Cup Series wins.

However, NASCAR fans are relentless. They took to the comments to call Hamlin a cheater. Hamlin has since responded to those claims…

Denny Hamlin reacts to fan saying he’s cheating

“What I love is they don’t know what they’re doing,” Denny Hamlin opened via Actions Detrimental.

“When I look and, ‘That damn car’s cheated up. There’s no (expletive) way. Y’all are making me believe that I’m doing things that you think are impossible. That is awesome and it’s making me more confident, so I love it,” Hamlin said.

“What’s crazy though is Jimmie still has 20 more wins. Where the hell were your comments back then?”

“There’s eight more guys that have more wins. Was there (expletive) cheated up all the time? I don’t know.”

“I think they’ve got fatigue. I get it. I totally get it,” referring to his win count.

“It ain’t as easy as it looks people, but when you have a car as illegal and cheated up as mine, it’s so easy. Let’s leave them with that,” Hamlin concluded with some trolling.

Hamlin has recently stated that he plans to retire following the 2027 season.
