Watch as the Alpha Prime Racing hauler caught it on video
NASCAR is heading to San Diego, California. Naval Base Coronado is set to host a triple-header race weekend on the new 3.4-mile temporary circuit.
Alpha Prime Racing is making the drive across the country from Mooresville, North Carolina. The team fields entries in the NASCAR O’Reilly Series.
En route to California, a wheel bounced across the highway. It struck the median and went directly in the lane of the Alpha Prime hauler. The hauler struck the wheel.
The team has since arrived at the track.
Alpha Prime shared the video below with the caption, “Just experienced our first accident of the weekend on the way to San Diego.”

Cars will be on track for the first time on Friday. The O’Reilly Series race is scheduled for Saturday.
