Joey Logano says “Look at this guy!” as Carson Hocevar spins (Video)

Carson Hocevar spun on the pace laps during the NASCAR race in the rain at New Hampshire Motor Speedway

On Sunday, the NASCAR Cup Series raced at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Rain fell on the speedway just ahead of the green flag.

However, new for recent seasons, NASCAR has rain tires on deck. Those tires are specifically built for this situation.

For tracks under 1 mile, the surface doesn’t need to be completely dry to start the race. Instead, teams will bolt on rain tires and drop the green flag.

Still, the track can’t be soaked. And during the pace laps before the green flag, drivers were testing out the tires and letting NASCAR know if they were good to drop the green flag.

Carson Hocevar was one of the drivers to give NASCAR the thumbs up. Then, he then spun the car out to the Amusement of Joey Logano.

“Look at this guy! Look at this idiot! Geez,” Joey Logano stated over the radio.

Logano’s crew stated, “That one was saying thumbs up.”

Logano added, “Yup. Thumbs up. Ha.”

Carson Hocevar jumped on his own radio confirming, “It’s a little slick off four.”

Tyler Reddick led the opening lap in the wet. He ended up spinning in the exact same spot.

Later in the race, Hocevar spun out after contact with Connor Zilisch. Ironically, Joey Logano was also collected.
