Watch the video as pit lane became completely blocked after multiple cars tangled
Tonight, NASCAR O’Reilly Series drivers are racing at WWT Raceway. There was just a very odd incident on the pit lane.
Rajah Caruth and Nick Sanchez were turned right at the entry to the pit lane. Jeremy Clements and others picked up damage.
Watch the video below.
The crew for Brandon Jones was already at work on the No. 19 car. Multiple cars crashed into Jones as the car was on the jack.
Crew members were clipped but it could have been much worse.
Ten cars were collected in the crash not counting the ones that were forced to come to a complete stop; Brandon Jones; Harrison Burton; Dean Thompson; Jeb Burton; Ryan Sieg; Patrick Staropoli; Jeremy Clements; Nick Sanchez; Rajah Caruth; Anthony Alfredo
“I have absolutely no idea what happened,” Nick Sanchez stated over the team radio.
Rajah Caruth was equally confused as he asked the team, “Anything I could have done?”
Pit road entry was completely blocked. At least half of the field was completely blocked from entering the pit lane.
“They gotta red flag this because those guys can’t go a lap down,” Jamie McMurray stated from the broadcast booth.
The race is currently ongoing.
Update: The race has since concluded.
