With 3 laps to go in stage two, Dexter Stacy spun off turn two. He slammed the inside wall.

As Stacy spun across the track he clipped the No. 02 of Blaine Perkins in the right rear. Perkins was spun toward the outside wall. He made heavy impact with the outside wall.

Just as he hit the outside wall, the No. 5 of Jade Buford slammed the right side door of Perkins’s machine.

The impact from Buford was enough to pick the Perkins car off the ground. Once the air got under it, the car was sent skyward.

He came back to earth on his roof. That’s when a violent barrel roll began. The car barrel rolled at least 5 times.

The impact was great enough to dislodge a tire along with many other parts. Kaz Grala hit the bouncing tire and sent it like a rocket into the sky.

The race was sent into a red flag. Officials went into a lengthy cleanup.

Both drivers were able to get out of their cars. Stacy was released from the infield care center.

Blaine Perkins has been taken to to a local hospital for further evaluation.

The race is ongoing.
