Kyle Larson is running a throwback to Terry Labonte at Darlington Raceway

Terry Labonte is a two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion. His last title came in 1996, while driving the No. 5 for Hendrick Motorsports

Kyle Larson is bringing the famous Kellogg’s paint scheme back to the track. He’ll race the throwback paint scheme at Darlington Raceway on May 12th, 2024.

Labonte’s last career NASCAR Cup Series win came in 2003. It was at Darlington Raceway.

“This is something we’ve been working on for really a few years, ever since I got to Hendrick,” Kyle Larson stated via FOX before the paint scheme unveiling.

“You know, I always get asked, ‘What has been the coolest car that I’ve gotten to race?’ And, I think this is going to take the cake. I’m excited about it.”

Terry Labonte responded, “Just put it in victory lane for me. That’s my all-time favorite car right there. To be able to win the championship in that car and win the races that we won was really awesome.”

“And, to have you behind the wheel at Darlington is going to be amazing. So, I can’t wait. I’m going to be there.”
