Darrell Waltrip raced the car during the 1986 season. He finished 2nd in the standings that year, picking up three wins along the way.
Terry Labonte then raced it in 1987 and 1988. Labonte finished 3rd and 4th in the standings picking up two race wins.
The car was stored at the recently closed Winston Cup Museum.
