Amber Balcaen exits Dover on a stretcher after crash (Video)

ARCA Racing Series driver hauled off on a stretcher following Dover Motor Speedway crash

On Saturday, the ARCA Menards Series took the green flag at Dover Motor Speedway. It’s the first race of a busy race weekend on the 1-mile track in Dover, Delaware.

Watch the Amber Balcaen crash video below.

On lap 75, Christian Rose suffered a flat tire or another mechanical failure on the right front. As he exited turn four, the car went straight into the outside wall.

Amber Balcaen was hard on the gas behind him as she exited the corner. She was forced to make an evasive move to avoid contact with Rose.

She lost control of the car off turn four. The car then slid into the inside wall, making hard contact. The front end picked up heavy damage on her No. 22 car.

Officials first threw the yellow flag. The red flag was deployed moments later.

Balcean was then pulled from the car and placed on a stretcher.

She’s a 32-year-old driver for Venturni Motorsports.

The race has since resumed.

Amber Balcaen comments

Balcaen exited the care center with her foot wrapped in a brace while on a golf cart.

“I’m ok,” Amber Balcaen told FOX after exiting the care center.

“It was a decently hard hit. I feel fine everywhere else, just gotta see what’s going on with my foot.”

Christian Rose comments

“I’m ok. Just breathed in a lot of stuff there when we caught fire,” Rose told FOX Sports after exiting the care center.

“I’m not really sure what happened. We only had 10-15 green flag laps right there. It just went straight on me.”

“Big hit. This place is The Monster for a reason.”

This post will be updated as more information becomes available.

Update: Foot fracture

After the race, Balcaen was diagnosed with a foot fracture. However, she’s ready to race at Kansas Speedway.

She stated via X, “Despite injuries to my left foot, NASCAR has cleared to me to race Kansas this weekend!”

“Thank you to everyone at Toyota Racing for getting me ready. Very grateful to be back behind the wheel of our IconDirect #22 car. Let’s go!”
